Australian Music Association

The Australian Music Association is the trade body for the music products industry, representing wholesalers, manufacturers, retailers and associated services for musical instruments, pro audio, print music, lighting and computer music products. 

Through its non-commercial arm, Music Makers Foundation, it provides core funding for Music.Play for Life.

A key partner in Music.Play for Life, ASME is the national organisation representing the nation’s music educators. The purpose of ASME is to encourage and advance music education at all levels as an integral part of general education and community life, and as a profession within the broad field of music.

Australian Government

‘Since 2007, The Australian Government has supported the campaign by providing funding for the national school music program, ‘Music. Count Us In’ where hundreds of thousands of school students learn and perform the same song. More on ‘Music. Count Us In'.

ABC Classic FM

In 2005, Music.Play for Life launched the FLAME Awards, in association with ABC Classic FM. The Awards recognise and reward Australia’s most inspiring school music programs. More on the FLAME Awards here.

Australian Council of State School Organisations

Ian Potter Foundation

The Ian Potter Foundation has provided funding to the campaign’s Guitars for Schools program, in which instruments are given to promising music students in schools in low socio economic areas.

TEN – Network TEN and Southern Cross TV have supported the ‘Music. Count Us In’ campaign by providing airtime for a community service announcement encouraging schools’ involvement in the annual program.

This music management company has been working with the campaign to pilot a new music-in-schools program, Jamming.  High-profile rock artists such as Evermore, Matt Corby and Lisa Mitchell  act as mentors in songwriting projects with high school students.
