Musica Viva:

In 2007 Musica viva offers a broad spectrum of music education designed to enrich learning across the school curriculum with the support of education departments throughout Australia.  Their primary schools program showcases an eclectic choice of musical experiences inspired and guided by professional musicians to support and enhance teaching and learning in innovative ways through live performances, teacher professional development and resource materials. Musica Viva brings fresh energy, inspiration and creativity to the classroom.  For secondary schools the choices range from Musica Viva’s in-school concerts and workshops, to tailor-made programs featuring artists in residence. Australian Music Days are growing ever more popular with elective music students, and teachers can access web-based teaching and learning resources, and professional development opportunities through this ‘award–winning’ Musica Viva In Schools program.  Online activities are also available.
