Arts Administration Traineeships, Carclew Youth Arts Centre
Type of study supported: Arts administration
Nature of aid: Traineeships. Trainees do not receive a scholarship, but rather a salary during a 12-month training period. They are placed with suitable employers in Adelaide or regional centres. The scheme is administered by Carclew in partnership with the Office of Employment and Youth, Adelaide TAFE, and the Community Arts Network. During the 12 months the trainees receive both on and off-the-job training in areas such as: working in the arts, managing your own work, working with others, communicating in the office, promoting your organisation, working with your community, working with technology, dealing with dollars, box office, front of house, setting up an exhibition and industry visits.

Duration of aid: 12 months
Eligibility: Applicants must be 17-24 years of age inclusive, have completed year 11/SACE Stage 1 or equivalent, be a current resident of the State of SA.

The Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarships 2011

A biennial piano scholarship to the value of $40,000, this Scholarship provides funds to a deserving post graduate music student to travel overseas for specific purposes to further or enhance their musical education.

Dame Ruby Litchfield Scholarship
Type of study supported: Professional training in music or performing arts
Nature of aid: Established by the South Australian govern ment in 1994 and administered through the South Australian Youth Arts Board, the scholarship is offered annually to assist young South Australians to further their professional development and training in the performing arts, including music.
