Cultural Infusion:
The Cultural Infusion Schools’ Program is a multidisciplinary program utilising arts & cultural practitioners from diverse cultures and backgrounds, as a primary communication tool to enhance the school curriculum. Cultural Infusion performance-workshops are interactive and engaging. Students gain an insight into the wealth of our diverse nation and explore the history, traditions and languages of various cultures. The program comprises of live, tailor-made interactive performance-workshops for students of all ages nationwide. Artists also perform at: school assemblies, lunchtime concerts, artist-in-residence, all day programs and school fetes. The program supports many areas of school curriculum including Drama, Music, SOSE, PE, Dance, LOTE, English and ESL. Musica Viva:
In 2007 Musica viva offers a broad spectrum of music education designed to enrich learning across the school curriculum with the support of education departments throughout Australia. Their primary schools program showcases an eclectic choice of musical experiences inspired and guided by professional musicians to support and enhance teaching and learning in innovative ways through live performances, teacher professional development and resource materials. Musica Viva brings fresh energy, inspiration and creativity to the classroom. For secondary schools the choices range from Musica Viva’s in-school concerts and workshops, to tailor-made programs featuring artists in residence. Australian Music Days are growing ever more popular with elective music students, and teachers can access web-based teaching and learning resources, and professional development opportunities through this ‘award–winning’ Musica Viva In Schools program. Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO):
The TSO’s school concerts are tailored to meet the specific educational needs of primary and secondary aged students. These concerts are enjoyable, engaging and rewarding. Students learn about the four instrument families of the orchestra and encounter the elements of music in an integrated approach.
